Dr. Kevin Thomas is the pastor of The Truth Church, a Baptist church located in Columbus, Ohio, USA.

He earned his Doctor of Ministry (D.Min) from United Theological Seminary, his Master of Theology (Th.M.) from Dallas Theological Seminary graduating with honors, and his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (B.S.B.A.) specializing in Finance from The Ohio State University. 

He has spoken and taught at various Bible colleges and seminaries. For 14 years, he mentored pastors from across Canada and the United States for Ashland Theological Seminary's Pastors of Excellence (PoE) program. He served as a member of the PoE leadership team and sat on the PoE curriculum review team in Ashland. Through the Sandberg Leadership Center in Ashland, he lectured leaders of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA).

Kevin was ordained as a deacon and later as a preacher by the Eastern Union Missionary Baptist Association (EUMBA). He is a member of the Baptist Pastors Conference of Columbus and Vicinity (BPCC) and currently serves on its executive committee. Additionally, he has served or is serving on various boards, councils, and ministries.

During his time in seminary in Dallas, Texas, he was a member of Concord Missionary Baptist Church, led by the late Rev. Dr. E.K. Bailey, and also attended Emmanuel Fellowship Church, led by the late Rev. A. E. Royal, Sr., and Oak Cliff Bible Fellowship, led by Dr. Tony Evans, where he served on staff before returning to Columbus. While at Dallas Theological Seminary, he served as a chaplain on the student council and as the president of the Black Student Fellowship.

Before answering the call to preach, he had a successful career in finance. However, he decided to enroll in seminary in 1995 to pursue full-time ministry. He is a former corporate officer of Bank One Ohio Corporation and a former bank examiner with the United States Treasury Department’s Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC).

In his leisure time, Dr. Thomas enjoys water parks, sports, writing, reading, and cookouts with his family, friends, and neighbors. He resides in a suburb of Columbus, Ohio.
